Structural analysis of display signs
This task was to perform structural analysis of a number of concepts for the design / construction of sign posts on behalf of a sign manufacturer.
The first step of the analysis was to determine the applicable wind loading conditions through the use of Codes of Practice. Each one of the three designs were then analysed for stress and deflection in multiple axes.
The resulting report enabled the client to select the preferred design based on cost and performance.
