SolidWorks user required for 3 month contract

We have a vacancy for a SolidWorks contractor for a 3-month (initially) project working at WDS in Brentwood, Essex and occasionally on-site in East / Greater London at the offices of our client for this project.  Although this current project is estimated to be of 3 month duration there may be opportunities for further work and for other projects going forward.

The project involves refreshing a large number of variants of an existing mechanical product by substituting new components and sub-assemblies, thus bringing the portfolio up to date with the latest components.  The role includes:

  • – some 3D part creation from legacy drawings
  • – 3D part updates as necessary
  • – working with assemblies / sub-assemblies: substituting parts, working with mates
  • – file management & renaming
  • – creation of some basic part & assembly drawings


This role is for a nominal 7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week.  To be eligible, applicants must:

  • – be eligible to work under a contract via a limited company or umbrella company
  • – have an appropriate level of experience of working with SolidWorks 2015
  • – be able to communicate directly with the client and willing to work on-site in Greater London as required
  • – have own means of transport for visits to client location
